Stele of Penbu

02502-065.jpg

In the round top of the stele, the winged solar disk is shown, from which two uraei hang. Below it, a row of identical geometric motifs separates it from the central section, which carries two adoration scenes in which the deceased is shown on the left with the hawk-headed Harakhty, on the right with Atum. Paenbu, chief of the hour-priests of Osiris, is depicted holding a star-sighter consisting of a palm branch with sights. In both scenes, between the figures there is an offering table carrying bread loaves and a lotus flower hanging over it. Under the scenes there are four lines of hieroglyphs.
