Description
A carved wooden figure of a jackal couchant, painted black and resting upon a red pedestal. The jackal represented the funerary deity Anubis. This piece is damaged, the black paint is badly flaking on the right hand side, the ears are broken.

Gesneden houten figuur van een liggende jakhals, zwartgeschilderd en rustend op een rood voetstuk. De jakhals vertegenwoordigde de funeraire godheid Anoebis. Het stuk is beschadigd. Aan de rechterkant is de zwarte verf aan het afschilferen en de oren zijn afgebroken.
Figure en bois sculpté d'un chacal couché. Elle est peinte en noir et repose sur un socle rouge. Le chacal représente le dieu funéraire Anubis. La pièce est endommagée. La peinture noire s'écaille sur le côté droit. Les oreilles sont cassées.
Eine geschnitzte Holzfigur eines liegenden, schwarz bemalten Schakals, der auf einem roten Sockel ruht. Der Schakal stellte die Totengottheit Anubis dar. Das Stück ist beschädigt, die schwarze Farbe blättert auf der rechten Seite stark ab, die Ohren sind abgebrochen.
Figura intagliata in legno di uno sciacallo steso, dipinto in nero e poggiato su un piedistallo. Lo sciacallo rappresenta la divinità funeraria Anubi. Il pezzo è danneggiato, il colore nero è sfaldato sul lato destro e le orecchie sono spezzate.
Figura de chacal, esculpido em madeira, deitado com cabeça erguida, pintado em preto e encostado a pedestal vermelho. O chacal representava a divindade funerária Anúbis. Esta peça encontra-se deteriorada, com a tinta preta bastante lascada, no lado direito, e com as orelhas partidas.
