The painted funerary stela, an upright stone with a sculpted surface, has a pediment top, or a triangular space that forms the gable of a low-pitched roof. Perhaps an acroteria, or a small pedestal for statues or other ornaments, existed at the top. 

The stela depicts a Macedonian horseman on his horse. He is armed with a javelin and a sword and carries a shield. 

He wears the Macedonian outfit, which consists of boots and a coat without shoulders. The Macedonian soldier's servant runs after the horse. 

The horse is depicted raising its front legs in harmony with the running servant and the extended chlamys, or short oblong mantle, of the horseman.

للشاهد الجنزي الملون قمة مدببة أو مساحة مثلثة تؤلف قمة سقف منخفض مطلي، ولعل إفريزاً أو موطئاً صغيراً للتماثيل أو ما سواهما من زخرف كان على القمة. 

ويصور الشاهد فارساً مقدونياً على حصانه، مسلحاً بمزراق وسيف ويحمل ترساً، وهو مزود بالمعدات المقدونية المؤلفة من حذاء وسترة بغير مناكب، أما خادم الجندي المقدوني فيجري من وراء الحصان. 

وقد صور الحصان رافعاً رجليه الأماميتين في تناغم مع الخادم المسرع والعباءة المسترخية أو سترة الفارس الطويلة.
