Offering spoon

6321.JPG

The floral wreath depicted on this spoon was made to resemble the loop-handled cross which is the sign for 'life', ankh. An interesting detail is the goose which is suspended from the handle. Together with the lotus flowers, this goose formed part of the funerary offerings.
