Description
This small vase in alabaster comes from the excavations of the British School Archaeology in Egypt at Qaou el-Kebir, necropolis of the town of Antaeopolis, in 1923. Formed of a pointed belly and surmounted by a flared neck, the receptacle needs a stand. The piece dates from the Old Kingdom.

Deze kleine albasten vaas is afkomstig uit de opgravingen van de British School of Archaeology in Egypt te Qaw el-Kebir, de necropool van de stad Antaeopolis, in 1923. Het recipiënt dat een spitse buik heeft met daarop een hals met wijde opening, vereiste een steunstuk. Het stuk dateert uit het Oude Rijk.
Ce petit vase en albâtre provient des fouilles du British School of Archaeology in Egypt à Qaou el-Kébir, nécropole de la ville Antaeopolis, en 1923. Formé d'une panse pointue, surmontée d'un col évasé, le récipient nécessitait un support. La pièce date de l'Ancien Empire.
Dieses kleine Alabastergefäß stammt aus den Grabungen der British School of Archaeology in Qaw el-Kibir, der Nekropole der Stadt Antaeopolis, im Jahr 1923. Der Behälter, der aus einem spitz zulaufenden Körper und einem sich erweiternden Hals besteht, benötigte einen Ständer. Das Stück datiert in das Alte Reich.
