Description
Very elegantly shaped vase with a conical body and a tubular neck flaring out like the corolla of a flower. The common buff-coloured clay was covered with a red-ochre slip and then burnished. The striations created by the burnishing action are part of the vessel's decoration. The vessel form is rare in Nubia; a single example has been found at Sai until now.
