Description
Principal element of a composite statue of a seated goddess. Tenons were provided to attach the crown, uraeus, arms and legs (all of which have disappeared). The figure is coiffed with a tripartite wig mounted by a kalathos decorated with erect cobras. There is also a large tenon to attach the statue to a separate pedestal.

Élément principal d'une statue de déesse assise. Des tenons sont prévus pour la couronne, l'uraeus, les bras et les pieds (tous les quatre disparus). Coiffée de la perruque tripartite surmontée d'une base de couronne décorée d'un kalathos de cobras dressés. Sous la plante des pieds, présence d'un large tenon pour fixation dans un socle rapporté.

Lieu de découverte: Temple de Médinet el-Nahas. État de conservation: Bon état général des parties conservées. Nombreuses fentes et nodosités dans le bois. Restes de stuc sur le torse, le cou, le visage et la perruque. Restes de dorure sur la perruque.
