Amon was de staatsgod in het Nieuwe Rijk, wiens voornaamste tempel in Karnak stond, de grootste en rijkste tempel in Egypte. Hier heerste hij aan het hoofd van de andere goden.
Amon était le dieu d'état au Nouvel Empire. Son sanctuaire principal était situé à Karnak, le plus grand et le plus riche temple d'Égypte. Là, il régnait sur les autres dieux.
Amun war der Reichsgott des Neuen Reiches, dessen Zentrum und wichtigste Kultstätte Karnak, der größte und reichste Tempel Ägyptens, gewesen ist. Hier herrschte er an der Spitze der Götter.
