Painted wooden figure of a Ba, the Egyptian soul expressing the aspect of mobility after death. The Ba is depicted as a human-headed bird. Such figures were placed on larger elements of funerary equipment, for example on the coffin.

Beschilderd houten beeldje van een Ba, de Egyptische ziel die mobiliteit na de dood uitbeeldt. De Ba is afgebeeld als een vogel met mensenhoofd. Dergelijke beeldjes werden op de grotere elementen van de grafuitrusting geplaatst, bijvoorbeeld op de sarcofaag.
Figure en bois peint d'un ba, 'l'âme' égyptienne exprimant l'aspect de mobilité après la mort. Le ba est représenté sous la forme d'un oiseau à tête humaine. De telles figures étaient placées sur des pièces plus grandes du mobilier funéraire, par exemple sur le sarcophage.
Bemalte Holzfigur eines Ba, der ägyptischen Seele, die den Aspekt der Beweglichkeit nach dem Tod verkörpert. Der Ba wird als menschenköpfiger Vogel dargestellt. Solche Figuren wurden auf die großen Elementen der Grabausstattung, beispielsweise den Sarg, aufgesetzt.
