Description
Painted wooden head from the figure of a recumbent jackal, the animal depicts Anubis, god of embalming. Such figures were placed on larger items of burial equipment, particularly from the Late Period. This example was acquired in Thebes.

Beschilderde houten kop van een beeld van een liggende jakhals, het dier dat gebruikt werd om Anoebis, de god van de balseming, af te beelden. Dergelijke figuren werden op de grotere elementen van de grafuitrusting geplaatst, in het bijzonder in de Late Periode. Dit exemplaar is verworven in Thebe.
Tête en bois peint provenant d'une figure représentant un chacal couché, animal utilisé pour représenter Anubis, dieu de l'embaumement. De telles figures étaient placées sur des pièces plus grandes du mobilier funéraire, surtout à partir de la Basse Époque. Cet exemplaire a été acquis à Thèbes.
Bemalter hölzerner Kopf von der Figur eines ruhenden Schakals, dem Tier, das der Darstellung des Balsamierungsgottes Anubis diente. Solche Figuren wurden auf die großen Elemente der Grabausstattung aufgesetzt, insbesondere von der Spätzeit an. Dieses Exemplar wurde in Theben erworben.
Testa in legno dipinto di uno sciacallo da una figura di uno sciacallo sdraiato, l'animale usato per raffigurare Anubi, il dio dell'imbalsamazione. Tali figure erano poste su oggetti grandi facenti parte del corredo funebre, particolarmente a partire dall'Età Tarda. Questo esemplare è stato acquistato a Tebe.
Esta cabeça em madeira pintada, da figura de um chacal reclinado representava Anúbis, o deus do embalsamamento. Estas figuras eram colocadas em objectos maiores utilizados em sepultamentos, especialmente na Época Baixa. Este exemplar foi adquirido em Tebas.
Cabeza en madera pintada perteneciente a la figura de un chacal tendido, el animal utilizado para representar a Anubis, el dios del embalsamamiento. Este tipo de figuras eran depositadas sobre los objetos más grandes del ajuar funerario, especialmente a partir de la Baja Época. Este ejemplar fue adquirido en Tebas.
