Description
Pottery vessel of marl clay, with elegantly tapering point, broad shoulder, and tall neck flaring out to the rim, now lost. It was found in a tomb at Abydos, probably of the late Old Kingdom or 1st Intermediate Period, about 2100 BC.

Récipient en marne argileuse, à l'élégante base pointue, à large épaule, au col haut et s'évasant vers le bord, maintenant perdu. Il a été découvert dans une tombe d'Abydos et date probablement de la fin de l'Ancien Empire ou de la Première Période Intermédiaire, vers 2100 avant notre ère.
Tongefäß aus Mergelton mit elegant zulaufender Spitze, breiter Schulter und hohem Hals, der sich zu dem nicht mehr vorhandenen Rand hin erweitert. Es stammt aus einem Grab in Abydos, das wahrscheinlich in das späte Alte Reich oder in die 1. Zwischenzeit, um 2100 v. Chr., datiert.
