Harpocrates was one of the most popular gods in the Graeco-Roman Period. Here he is shown as a nude child with the sidelock of youth seated on a lotus flower. His right index finger is touching his mouth. On his head he is wearing the composite crown. The eyes were originally inlaid with a different material.
