37.jpg
Slideshow

The Vienna fragment preserves the head and right shoulder of a statue of a seated king. A large part of the remainder of the statue is preserved in six fragments in the museum of Elephantine in Aswan. The latter fragments contain the inscriptions which give us the name of this king: "The good god, the Lord of the Two Lands, the Lord of Ceremonies, the King of Upper Egpyt and Lower Egypt Sekhem-ka-re (in a cartouche), the Son of Re Amenemhet (in a cartouche), beloved of Satet, the Mistress of Elephantine, to whom is given life.
