Another example of a small seal impression from an establishment at the second cataract, in this case Buhen, the important administrative and commercial center at the northern entry to the rapids. It was affixed on to a letter on papyrus which was sent from Buhen to Mirgissa/Iken. An Egyptian trading post had been founded in Buhen as of the Old Kingdom.
