Description
Two ring-shaped beads with rounded edges were discovered in an individual grave of the Old Kerma period at Sai. Together with ostrich eggshell and carnelian, gabbro was one of the most frequently used materials for the fabrication of corporal ornaments found at this site. As demonstrated by other objects from Lille, it was favoured by A-Group, C-Group and Kerma peoples.
