Description
Bowl from the single intact Middle Kerma burial in the large Kerma necropolis at Sai. This ceramic vessel was crudely manufactured from a traditional fine clay, with thick walls. It has wide flattened base, a flared diagonal body and a tapered lip. The surface has been polished, the body is red with an irregular black rim.

Bol provenant de la seule tombe Kerma Moyen intacte de la grande nécropole Kerma de Sai. Cette poterie grossière est faite en pate fine traditionnelle, mais les parois sont épaisses. Elle a un large fond aplati, une panse évasée oblique et une lèvre affinée. La surface est polie, la panse rouge avec un petit bord noir irrégulier.
