Description
Globular jar made from an orange, calcareous clay. The body is almost spherical. The mouth is very restricted and is bordered by a convex lip. The turning and polishing were well executed. This vessel is imported from Egypt and is of a well-known type during the Middle Kingdom and the Second Intermediate Period. A vessel of this type is found in almost all Classic Kerma burials.

Jarre globulaire en argile calcaire orangée. La panse est presque sphérique. L'ouverture, très étroite, est bordée d'une lèvre convexe. Le tournage et le lissage sont soignés. Ce vase, provenant d'Égypte, appartient à une catégorie répandue au Moyen Empire et à la Deuxième Période Intermédiaire. Un exemplaire de ce type est généralement déposé dans chacune des sépultures du Kerma Classique.
