Description
The carved ivory armlet with a simple design was part of the collection found in Qustul and Ballana. Rings and circlets of simple or complex forms, made from either precious or cheap materials, were worn as armlets and anklets by the Ancient Egyptians. They believed that the circle possessed magical power.

Ce bracelet en ivoire sculpté doté d'un motif simple faisait partie de la collection découverte à Qustul et Ballana. Des anneaux aux formes simples ou complexes, fabriqués dans des matériaux précieux ou bons marchés, étaient portés comme bracelets et bracelet de cheville par les anciens égyptiens. On pensait que le cercle était doté de pouvoirs magiques.
كان هذا السوار ذو الشكل البسيط المنحوت من العاج، من ضمن الكنوز المكتشفة فى بلانة وقسطل. ولقد اعتاد المصريون القدماء لبس خواتم وغيرها من الحلى المستديرة ذات الأشكال البسيطة والمركبة، والمصنوعة من مواد ثمينة أو رخيصة، حيث كان الإعتقاد أن لشكل الدائرة قوة سحرية.
