Description
Painted wooden shabti from a late New Kingdom burial. The lower part of the body is painted black, suitable for overpainting in a lighter colour for the hieroglyphs that would have given the name and shabti formula.

Beschilderde houten oesjabti uit een graf uit het late Nieuwe Rijk. De onderkant van het lichaam is zwart beschilderd, geschikt om daarop in een lichtere kleur in hiërogliefen de naam en de oesjabtiformule te schilderen.
Ouchebti en bois peint provenant d'une tombe de la fin du Nouvel Empire. La partie inférieure du corps est peint en noir. Des hiéroglyphes, plus clairs, devaient fournir le nom de son propriétaire et la formule des ouchebtis.
Bemaltes Holzuschebti aus einer Bestattung des späten Neuen Reiches. Der untere Teil des Körpers ist schwarz bemalt als Hintergrund für eine nicht ausgeführte Inschrift in helleren Hieroglyphen, die den Namen des Besitzers und die Uschebtiformel enthalten hätte.

Estatueta funerária em madeira pintada proveniente de sepultura de finais do Império Novo. A parte inferior do corpo está pintada de preto justamente para que podasse ser pintado com hieróglifos por cima, numa cor mais clara, onde seria indicado o <!-->nome e a formula chauabtie.
Ushebti de madera pintado procedente de un enterramiento del Imperio Nuevo. La parte baja del cuerpo está pintada de negro, adecuado para escribir sobre ella con un color más claro los jeroglíficos que habrían mencionado el nombre y la fórmula del ushebti.
