Description
The statue depicts Meritites sitting on a low-back chair, facing straight ahead, with both hands placed on her thighs. Meritites wears the tradional sheath dress that reveals the contours of her body and possibly a wide collar around her neck. She also wears relatively long tresses, or locks of hair, the central part of which reveals her natural hair in front. The right side of the seat, which is roughly finished, states the name and title of Meritites as a "royal acquaintance."
