Description
The model of these cymbals is visibly different from other models. The rims of these cymbals are relatively larger and the central calotte is less convex than that of other instruments, which is the reason they produce a muffled sound. Cymbals are still used in Egypt, by belly dancers, who hold them in a very special way. They attach the cymbals to their hands, with a thread that passes through a hole in the center of each cymbal and round their fingers.

La forme de ces cymbales est visiblement différente des autres formes. Les bords de ces cymbales sont relativement plus larges et la calotte centrale est moins convexe que celle d'autres instruments, ce pourquoi elles produisent un son étouffé. Les cymbales sont toujours utilisées en Egypte, principalement par les danseuses de ventre qui les manipulent d'une manière très spéciale. Elles attachent les cymbales à leurs mains grâce à un fil qui passe au travers d'un trou situé au centre de chaque cymbale et autour de leurs doigts.
