The Egyptians slept on beds, often including a back on one end for the feet, and on the opposite end there was a headrest. Different materials could be used for the headrest, and occasionally it was upholsted with a small cushion. This wooden object, of funerary origin, has a slender body and a thin shaft made in two parts.
