Jug with handle

1913263.JPG

This is an example of the finest tableware and cosmetic vessels produced in the mid-18th Dynasty, when Egypt consolidated her hold on Western Asia and Nubia, and trade flourished. See 1913:240 for the wealthy vaulted tomb where this vase was found. 1913:241 is an imported Cypriot vase from the same burial.
