Fine red polished lentoid vase, of a form, size and quality indicating that it must have been used to contain cosmetics. It is one of several luxury vessels among the goods from Abydos, cemetery D, tomb 116, which had been robbed in antiquity, but was one of the wealthier vaulted tombs there from the period of the reign of Tuthmosis III of the 18th Dynasty.
