Low-relief of limestone

BrE.0754.jpg

This plaquette of limestone, whose provenance is not known, depicts a man sitting on a chair before a table of offerings. The title ("sa-neswt": prince) and the name ("Khenty-r-ka"?) of the owner have been carved at the right of the scene. The style of relief and the hieroglyphs indicate that the piece probably dates from the first part of the Old Kingdom.
