The base of the statue narrows towards the rear and the sides have convex surfaces. A scribe is sitting cross-legged on the base. He is holding an unrolled papyrus on his lap. He is dressed in a knee-length kilt tied under the navel, and his head, which tilts slightly to the left, wears a curly wig.
