An impression of a seal, a unique piece bearing a print on its base, allowing for the authenticity of parcels or mail to be controlled upon their arrival. The object represented here, made of terra sigillata, was suspended from a cord which also left its print. The motif of the seal is quite common: a round spiral enclosing the formula "Re is great".

Une empreinte de sceau, pièce unique portant une empreinte sur la base, permettait à l'arrivée des colis ou du courrier de contrôler l'authenticité du scellé. L'objet ici représenté, en terre sigillata, était suspendu à une cordelette qui a laissé son empreinte. Le motif du sceau est très fréquent: une spirale ronde qui enserre la formule "Rê est grand".
