Description
Small jar with a flat base and a pear-shaped body. The neck is narrow and short, ending with a small flared convex lip. The clay is coarse, with large quantities of organic temper, is coloured orange and has been polished. It was covered with a dull brick-red slip. This item may have originated in Egypt, as it is similar to certain Naqada vessels. An incision was made on the body after the firing process, possibly a masculine figure.
