Description
Like several other examples kept at Lille, this fragment of a decorated block comes from the Temple of Ramesses II at Aksha. The decoration preserved on this block depicts the back of the head of the king (?), facing right, which is broken at shoulder level. The face has disappeared. Behind the figure, two fragments of inscribed columns are preserved.

Ce fragment de bloc décoré en bas-relief provient, comme plusieurs autres exemplaires conservés à Lille, du Temple de Ramsès II à Aksha. Le décor conservé sur cette pièce représente l'arrière de la tête du roi(?), face orientée vers la droite, brisée au niveau des épaules. Le visage a disparu. À l'arrière du personnage sont conservés deux fragments de colonnes inscrites.
