Description
"Tulip" vase or beaker with rounded base, S-shaped body and extremely unrestricted mouth and thinned lip. The surface has been polished. It is dark red with a rather regular, wide black border. The intermediary white band is represented here as a dotted line. These vessels were placed, often stacked, in the Kerma tombs of Mirgissa/Iken: remember that these are the most typical Classic Kerma vessels, many of which have even been found in Egypt.
