Description
Miniature sarcophagus lid with the head of a falcon, intended to receive a false mummy of Osiris. The background was painted in ochre, the wig in blue and the details of the head, text and scenes in black. Two registers containing scenes are preserved. The uppeer register features the four sons of Horus on both sides of the central column of text: Amset and Douamoutef on the left, Hepi and Qebehsenouf on the right. Only the left upper part of the following register is preserved featuring the head and hand of Isis mourning Osiris.

Couvercle de sarcophage miniature à tête de faucon destiné à recevoir une fausse momie d'Osiris. Fond peint en ocre, perruque bleue, détails de la tête, texte et scènes en noir. Deux registres de scènes sont conservés. Le registre supérieur représente les quatre fils d'Horus, de part et d'autre de la colonne de texte central, Amset et Douamoutef à gauche, Hepi et Qebehsenouf à droite. Seule la partie supérieure gauche du registre suivant est conservée: tête et main d'Isis pleurant Osiris.
