Description
Clappers shaped like a lower arm and hand were used as beat instruments by female dancers and replaced the clapping of hands. They were used in pairs like castanets and were joined at their lower ends by a piece of rope, as can be seen from the holes. This slightly sickle-shaped clapper has some stripes near the wrist and two rows of eye motifs.
