De vergulde buitenrand toont een band met gespen, die duidt op (on-Egyptische) schoenen met nagels. De neuzen en de hielen hebben gaatjes om de zolen te bevestigen aan het mummieomhulsel.
Les bords extérieurs dorés comportent une série continue d'entailles, ce qui fait penser à des chaussures clouées (signification non égyptienne). Au niveau des orteils et des talons, des trous ont été pratiqués pour fixer les semelles à la couverture d'une momie.
Der äußere, vergoldete Rand zeigt eine rundumlaufende Reihe von Buckeln, was auf genagelte (also nicht ägyptische) Schuhe schließen ließe. An Zehen- und Fersenende sind Bohrlöcher zum Annähen der Sandalen an die Mumienhülle angebracht.
