Description
Large, beautifully produced winged scarab of dark blue faience. Around the edges are six pierced holes, meant for fixing the wings, which are now lost. The underside is smooth and flat. Winged scarabs were originally attached to the bead nets of mummies.

Grote, mooi vormgegeven gevleugelde scarabee van donkergroene faience. Langs de randen zijn acht gaatjes geboord, bedoeld om de (verloren gegane) vleugels aan te bevestigen. De onderkant is plat. Gevleugelde scarabeeën werden bevestigd aan kralennetten die over mummies werden gelegd.
Grand scarabée ailé en faïence bleu foncé, de très belle facture. Les flancs de l'animal sont percés de six trous destinés à fixer les ailes aujourd'hui perdues. La face inférieure est lisse et plate. Des scarabées ailés étaient, à l'origine, attachés aux résilles des momies.
Der große Flügelskarabäus aus dunkelblauer Fayence ist sehr schön gestaltet. An den Rändern sind insgesamt sechs Löcher gebohrt, an denen die heute verlorenen Flügel befestigt waren. Die Unterseite ist glatt und flach. Flügelskarabäen waren ursprünglich an Perlennetzen von Mumien befestigt.
Grande scarabeo alato ben modellato, di fayence blu scura. Sui bordi vi sono sei fori che dovevano servire a fissare le ali non conservatesi. Il lato inferiore è liscio e piatto. Gli scarabei alati erano originariamente fissati alle reti di perline delle mummie.
Escaravelho alado maravilhosamente manufacturado em faiança. Tem seis orifícios nas extremidades, que serviam para afixar as asas. A parte de baixo é lisa. Escaravelhos alados eram originalmente presos a redes de contas para múmias.
Un escarabeo alado de gran tamaño y bellamente trabajado en fayenza azul oscuro. En los laterales hay seis agujeros, destinados a engarzar las alas, que han desaparecido. La parte inferior es lisa y plana. Los escarabeos alados se colocaban originalmente en las redes de cuentas de las momias.
