Hartscarabeeën zijn bekend vanaf de 17e dynastie. Ze werden op het hart van de mummie geplaatst, in de windsels of er bovenop. De modellering van de scarabee is schematisch, slechts de belangrijkste karakteristieken van de kever zijn weergegeven. Op de platte onderkant bevindt zich een inscriptie in acht horizontale regels met spreuk 30B van het Dodenboek.

Les scarabées de coeur sont attestés depuis la XVIIème Dynastie. Ils étaient placés sur le coeur du défunt ou sur la momie. Le modelé de cette très grande amulette est sans recherche. Seules les caractéristiques majeures de l'animal ont été rendues. La pièce comporte huit lignes de texte, la formule 30B du Livre des Morts. Cette inscription est entourée d'une bordure ovale.

Der Herzskarabäus ist seit der 17. Dynastie belegt. Er lag an der Stelle des Herzens in oder auf der Mumie. Die plastische Gestaltung dieses sehr großen Amuletts ist einfach. Nur die wichtigsten Elemente des Käfers sind angegeben. Die Siegelfläche trägt eine achtzeilige, waagrechte Inschrift mit dem Totenbuchspruch 30B. Der Text ist oval eingerahmt.

Lo scarabeo del cuore è noto sin dalla XVII dinastia. Esso era collocato in corrispondenza del cuore dentro o sopra la mummia. La resa plastica di questo grande amuleto è piuttosto semplice. Sono stati resi solamente i tratti più importanti dello scarabeo. La superficie del sigillo mostra otto linee orizzontali con un'iscrizione tratta dal capitolo 30B del Libro dei Morti. Il testo è incorniciato da un ovale.

O escaravelho do coraç&atilde;o é conhecido a partir da XVII Dinastia. Era colocado num local junto ao coraç&atilde;o da múmia, A forma deste espécimen é muito simples. Apenas se vêem os traços mais importantes do escaravelho. Na superfície do selo está uma inscriç&atilde;o de oito linhas horizontais com a fórmula mágica 30B, do Livro dos Mortos. O texto está enquadrado por um oval.

El escarabeo de corazón se conoce a partir de la Dinastía XVII. Se colocaba en el lugar del corazón o sobre la propia momia. La forma plástica de este muy grande amuleto es sencilla; sólo están representadas las formas más importantes del escarabajo. La parte inferior contiene una inscripción de ocho líneas horizontales con el conjuro 30B del Libro de los Muertos. El texto está enmarcado por un óvalo.

Heart scarabs are known from the 17th Dynasty onwards. They were placed over the heart in or on the mummy. The modelling of this very large amulet is plain. Only the most important characteristics of the beetle have been rendered. The seal surface has eight horizontal lines of text containing spell 30B of the Book of the Dead. The text is framed by an oval.
