A fragment of a roundel in wool and linen.The motif consists of a central panel with an animal. The main field is filled with lions, birds and vases of fruit and flowers in green, red, indigo, pink and yellow. They are enclosed within a geometric border. Technique: tapestry with built-up shapes, curved weft, slits and 'soumak'. Ends per inch (warp threads): 28. Picks per inch (weft threads): 128.
