Description
The mummified remains of a baby crocodile. The outer wrapping is partially missing. The crocodile was sacred to the god Sobek, with cult centres at Kom Ombo in Upper Egypt and in the Faiyum.

Gemummificeerde resten van een babykrokodil. De windsels aan de buitenkant zijn deels verloren gegaan. De krokodil was het heilige dier van Sobek, en had cultuscentra in Kom Ombo in Opper-Egypte en in de Fajoem.
Restes momifiés d'un bébé crocodile. L'enveloppe extérieure est partiellement perdue. Le crocodile était consacré au dieu Sobek dont les centres cultuels se situaient à Kôm Ombo, en Haute Égypte, et dans le Fayoum.
