Description
A fragment of woollen textile. The motif consists of alternating round and leaf shaped panels in red, enclosing animals and fish etc. on a yellow background with an indigo stripe. Technique: tapestry, built up shapes, curved weft, slits and dove-tailing. The fine decoration is in 'soumak' going over two and under one warp thread and round a single warp thread. Ends per inch (warp threads): 28. Picks per inch (weft threads): 128 approximately.

Techniek: tapisserie, samengestelde vormen, kromme inslag, sleuven en zwaluwstaarten. De fraaie decoratie is in 'soemak' over twee en onder een scheringdraad en rond een scheringdraad. Einden per inch (scheringdraden): 28. Inslagdraden per inch: ongeveer 128.
Fragment d'un tissu en laine. Il est décoré d'une alternance de pièces rouges, circulaires et en forme de feuille, contenant des animaux et des poissons, sur fond jaune avec bande indigo. Das Motiv besteht aus alternierenden runden und blattförmigen, roten Panelen, die Tiere, Fische etc. auf einem gelben Hintergrund mit einem indigofarbenen Streifen umschließen. Technik: Tapisserie, Kompositmuster, krummer Schuß, Schlitze und Schwalbenschwanzverbindungen. Die feine Verzierung besteht aus Soumak, der über zwei Kettfäden, unter einem und um einen Kettfaden herum verläuft Kettfäden/Zoll: 28. Schußfäden/Zoll: etwa 128.

Il motivo decorativo consiste in una serie alternata di quadri a forma di foglia e rotondi di colore rosso, che racchiudono animali e pesci su uno sfondo giallo con una fascia di color indaco. Tecnica: ricamo, figure composite, trama ricurva, tagli e cuciture. La raffinata decorazione è in soumak sovrapposta a due fili di trama, sottesa ad uno ed arrotolata ad un filo di trama.
