Description
A long strip of tapestry in wool and linen. The patterns are of cruciform and circular medallions enclosed in bands of lotus flowers within a formal border. The medallions are in orange, green, yellow and indigo on a red background. The borders are yellow on a blue background. Technique: tapestry using built up shapes, curved wefts, slits and dove-tailing. Ends per inch (warp threads): 20. Picks per inch (weft threads): 88 over ground.

De medaillons zijn oranje, groen, geel en indigo op een rode achtergrond. De randen zijn geel op blauwe achtergrond. Techniek: tapisserie met samengestelde vormen, kromme inslagen, sleuven en zwaluwstaarten. Einden per inch (scheringdraden): 20. Inslagdraden per inch: 88 op de ondergrond.
Longue bande de tapisserie en laine et en lin. Des médaillons cruciformes et circulaires sont enfermés dans des bandes de fleurs de lotus à l'intérieur d'une bordure formelle. Les médaillons sont oranges, verts, jaunes et indigo sur fond rouge. Les bords sont jaunes sur fond bleu.
