Dit fragment van een albasten beeldje, waarvan de herkomst onbekend is, stelt de god Seth voor, herkenbaar aan zijn hybride hondekop met ezelsoren. Hij draagt de dubbele kroon van Egypte die zijn regering over het land na de moord op zijn broer Osiris symboliseert. De Seth-cultus, god van Ombos in Opper-Egypte, bereikte haar hoogtepunt in de Ramessidentijd. Vooral zijn oorlogszuchtig karakter werd naar voren gehaald. Het is zeer waarschijnlijk dat het stuk uit die tijd dateert.

This fragment of figurine in alabaster, of which the provenance is not known, represents the god Seth recognizable by  the hybrid head of a dog with the ears of a donkey. He is dressed in the double crown of Egypt symbolising his reign over the country after the death of his brother Osiris. The cult of Seth, god of Ombos in Upper Egypt, knew its apogee in the Ramesside Period, specifically favouring his warlike character. It is very probable that the piece dates from this period.

Ce fragment de figurine en albâtre, dont la provenance n'est pas connue, représente le dieu Seth reconnaissable à sa tête hybride de chien avec des oreilles d'âne. Il est coiffé de la couronne double d'Égypte symbolisant son règne sur le pays après le meurtre de son frère Osiris. Le culte de Seth, dieu d'Ombos en Haute Égypte, a connu son apogée à l'Époque Ramesside, favorisant spécifiquement son caractère guerrier. Il est fort probable que la pièce date de cette époque.

Dieses Fragment einer Alabasterfigur unbekannter Herkunft stellt den Gott Seth dar, der an seinem hybriden Kopf eines Hundes mit Eselsohren zu erkennen ist. Er trägt die Doppelkrone Ägyptens, die seine Herrschaft über das Land nach dem Mord an seinem Bruder Osiris symbolisiert. Der Kult des Seth, des Gottes von Ombos in Ober-Ägypten, erfuhr seinen Höhepunkt in der Ramessidenzeit, die seinen kriegerischen Charakter bevorzugte. Höchstwahrscheinlich stammt das Stück aus dieser Epoche.

Este fragmento de uma figurinha de alabastro, cuja proveniência se desconhece, representa o deus Set que se reconhece pela sua cabeça híbrida de canídeo com orelhas de burro. Tem a coroa dupla do Egipto, o que simboliza o seu domínio sobre o país depois da morte do seu irmäo Osíris. O culto de Set, deus de Ombos, no Alto Egipto, conheceu o seu apogeu no Período Ramséssida, altura em que foi especificamente exaltado o seu carácter guerreiro. É possível que a peça date desse período.

Está tocado con la doble corona de Egipto, que simboliza su reinado en el país tras la muerte de su hermano Osiris.
