Description
This mirror with its handle may be ascribed to a New Kingdom burial at Thebes, on the basis of the date of acquisition, the 1840s. The metal disc would have originally given a good reflection when highly polished.

Deze spiegel met handvat is, op grond van de datum van verwerving in de jaren 1840, waarschijnlijk afkomstig uit een graf uit het Nieuwe Rijk te Thebe. De metalen schijf gaf ooit, toen deze hooggepolijst was, een goed spiegelbeeld.
Ce miroir avec manche peut être attribué à une sépulture thébaine du Nouvel Empire, sur base de sa date d'acquisition (1840). Le disque métallique, poli avec grand soin, pouvait à l'origine fournir un excellent reflet.
Auf der Grundlage des Erwerbsdatums, den Jahren um 1840, kann dieser Spiegel mit Griff einem thebanischen Begräbnis aus dem Neuen Reich zugeschrieben werden. Die Metallscheibe gewährleistete im Originalzustand, als sie bestens poliert war, eine gute Spiegelung.
Questo specchio con il suo manico può essere ascritto a una sepoltura del Nuovo Regno a Tebe, sulle basi della data di acquisto, il 1840. Il disco di metallo aveva originariamente un buon riflesso quando veniva levigato.
