Description
Circular bronze mirror with extended tang for attaching a handle, probably in organic material such as wood or ivory. The surface could have been brightly polished to produce a reasonable reflection. The majority of surviving mirrors, particularly those acquired before 1850, come from New Kingdom burials.

Ronde bronzen spiegel met verlengde tand om een handvat aan te bevestigen, waarschijnlijk uit organisch materiaal zoals hout of ivoor. Het oppervlak was naar alle waarschijnlijkheid helder gepolijst om een redelijke weerspiegeling te produceren. Het merendeel van de overgebleven spiegels, waaronder vooral die welke voor 1850 verworven zijn, komt uit graven uit het Nieuwe Rijk.
Miroir circulaire en bronze muni d'une longue soie pour le fixer sur un manche, probablement fabriqué dans un matériau organique, comme le bois ou l'ivoire. La surface devait avoir été polie soigneusement pour obtenir une réflexion raisonnable. La plupart des miroirs conservés, en particulier ceux acquis avant 1850, proviennent de tombes du Nouvel Empire.
Runder Bronzespiegel mit langem Zapfen zur Befestigung eines Griffes, der wahrscheinlich aus organischem Material wie Holz oder Elfenbein bestand. Die Oberfläche konnte blankpoliert werden und so ein annehmbares Spiegelbild produzieren. Die Mehrzahl der erhaltenen Spiegel, besonders der vor 1850 erworbenen, stammt aus Bestattungen des Neuen Reiches.

La superficie doveva essere brillante e lucidata per produrre un ragionevole riflesso.
