Description
Leaf-shaped flint blade, suitable for use as an arrow head. This comes from near settlement W, one of the Faiyum sites with the earliest evidence for farming in Egypt, from about 5000 BC. They were discovered by Gertrude Caton-Thompson in 1924-8, and Dublin was one of thirty museums outside Egypt to receive a part of the finds.
