Description
Haematite amulet in the form of a headrest, the object used in daily life to support the neck during sleep. Amulets in this form occur earlier, but only in the Late Period did it come into regular funerary use as part of the large sets of amulets placed on the body in mummification.

Amulet van hematiet in de vorm van een hoofdsteun, het voorwerp dat in het dagelijks leven diende om de nek tijdens de slaap te ondersteunen. Amuletten in deze vorm komen eerder voor, maar pas in de Late Periode werd het regulier gebruikt als onderdeel van de uitgebreide sets amuletten die bij de mummificatie op het lichaam geplaatst werden.
Amulette en forme d'appui-tête, objet de la vie quotidienne sur lequel les égyptiens posaient la tête durant leur sommeil. Bien que des amulettes de cette forme soient attestées plus tôt, ce n'est qu'à Basse Époque qu'elles prirent place, dans le rituel funéraire, parmi les amulettes disposées sur le corps momifié.
Hämatitamulett in Gestalt einer Kopfstütze, des Gegenstandes, der im täglichen Leben während des Schlafes den Hals stützte. Amulette dieser Gestalt gibt es schon früher, aber erst in der Spätzeit wurden sie regelmäßig als Teil der großen Amulettsets verwendet, die bei der Mumifizierung am Körper befestigt wurden.
