The Global Egyptian Museum

This hawk-headed dagger has a grip made of bronze and covered with gold leaf. The knob on the hilt takes the shape of a hawk head with vertical stripes chased in the metal. 

It also has a hooked beak and a sacred Udjat eye for protection with a highly emphasized eyebrow and a stylized tear. 

The inner part is engraved in imitation of the bird's feathers. The right edge of the handle is partially broken.

Cette dague a un manche de bronze recouvert de feuilles d'or. Le pommeau a la forme d'une tête de faucon avec des rayures verticales ciselées dans le métal. 

Orné d'un œil sacré Oudjat en signe de protection, le faucon a un nez crochu, des sourcils accentués et une larme stylisée. 

La partie interne du manche est gravée de fausses plumes et le côté droit est partiellement cassé.

لهذا الخنجر مقبض مصنوع من البرونز المغطى بورقة من الذهب. ويأخذ طرف المقبض شكل رأس صقر عن طريق حفر خطوط رأسية فى المعدن. 

ولهذا الصقر منقار مثنى وعينى وﭽات المقدسة للحماية وحواجب محددة بقوة ودمعة ممثلة فى نسق يتمشى مع الرأس. 

كما حفر الجزء الداخلى بنقوش تقلد شكل ريش الصقر. وللأسف فإن الطرف الأيمن للمقبض مكسور.
