Description
This is one of 28 gilded wooden statuettes of deities wrapped in shrouds to look like mummies. They were kept in shrines placed in the tomb to protect King Tutankhamun during his journey in the underworld. This statuette represents Gemeh-su as a falcon sitting on an insignia, or symbol of rank. His back is adorned with the flail and the Neheh sign

Il s'agit de l'une des vingt-huit statuettes de divinités en bois doré enveloppées dans des linceuls afin de ressembler à des momies. Ces statuettes furent conservées dans des tombeaux afin de protéger le roi au cours de son voyage vers l'au-delà.
