Description
This group of monkeys belong to the same iconographic type as the figurine coming from the excavations of Gurob (E.5792/03). Made in limestone, it depicts a crouched monkey on a socle, holding two young against him. He seems to want to protect the young against all possible dangers: the expression on their faces, visible on each side, is a remarkable detail. The piece probably dates from the New Kingdom.

A peça data certamente do Império Novo.
