Fragment of relief

BrE.0404.jpg

This fragment of relief, probably from a Theban tomb, shows a man raising the right arm in a gesture of adoration. Beneath the scene several painted hieroglyphs are drawn, arranged in three columns. The style of relief and the strong colours are characteristics of ramesside art.
