Funerary stela of Neithius

16014.jpg
Flash

Funerary stela with rounded top. In the lunette appears Behedety, the winged solar disc, welcoming a funerary boat occupied by four divinities, in front of whom is a feminine personage. At the back, a baboon is flanking the boat. Beneath the boat a line of kheker-signs gives way to an inscription with the traditional offering formula, ending with the deceased's name of Neithius, daughter of Ikenesh. There are remnants of red paint on the boat, the solar disc and the frieze of kheker-signs.
