Head of Menkaure/Mycerinus (c. 2500 BC), wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt, broken at the neck, such that only the very beginning of the false beard is visible. The features emphasize the power of the royal person with the large globular eyes, puffy eyelids, and tight mouth. The material, dimensions, and stylistic features correspond with those of the famous triads of Menkaure/Mycerinus found in the ruins of his mortuary temple at Giza at the beginning of the 20th century.
